On March 30, 2025, Dallas will host the Mega Marcha 2025, a significant demonstration advocating for bipartisan immigration reform. The march is scheduled to commence at 1:00 PM at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in downtown Dallas.

Organized by community leaders and immigrant rights advocates, including LULAC’s Domingo Garcia, the event aims to address the challenges within the current immigration system and call for comprehensive reforms.

Participants are encouraged to gather at the National Shrine Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, with the march expected to last approximately 45 minutes. Limited parking is available near the venue, so attendees are advised to plan accordingly.

The organizers emphasize the need for a legal and humane process for hardworking, law-abiding immigrants to achieve the American Dream. They believe that America is a nation of immigrants and that all individuals are created equal, deserving liberty and justice. The march seeks to petition the government to address and rectify the broken immigration system. This event is part of a broader series of nationwide protests responding to increased immigration enforcement activities and advocating for policy changes. Similar demonstrations have taken place across various U.S. cities, reflecting widespread concern over current immigration policies.

This march draws inspiration from a similar event in 2006, where approximately 500,000 people marched in Dallas to protest a proposed law that would have criminalized undocumented immigrants. Organizers hope to replicate that level of engagement and impact with the 2025 Mega March.
